Physically, yes — but mentally more. The game rewards players who can take a punch and answer back. We build that trait every day.
No stars, no individuals. Offensive linemen don't get stats. Cornerbacks rarely get credit. The Raider way is: the guy next to you eats first.
Academic honesty, honest effort, honest accountability. Five seniors have made the Academic All-District team every year since 2009.
The first Tyler Legacy team takes the field under head coach Thomas Hardin. Record: 4–6.
Raiders go 11–2, win District 14-4A outright, advance to the regional semi-final.
6,400-seat stadium replaces the original field. First game: 35–14 over Longview.
13–2 season ends in the Class 5A-II championship game. QB Jordan Meeks throws for 3,800 yards.
14–1. 62-point state semi-final win, still the program record for playoff scoring output.
Terrance Davis hired from Stephen F. Austin. First season: 7–4 with a playoff appearance.
First district title in five years. Three players named to the All-State team.
8–1 through nine games. District 7-6A champions with one game to play. Playoff seed secured.
